CHRIS PIDOTO - Licensed NYC Project Superintended and Senior PM
Chris has well over thirty years of experience within the construction industry that includes a unique and significant perspective on project management and construction supervision. From his start in the industry Chris has learned by doing.  His extensive training and apprenticeship have made him a master carpenter and lead him to run his own framing and carpentry business.  Over the years his variety of experience in health care, hospitality, retail and residential projects have allowed him to work closely and effectively with developers, owners and design professionals throughout his career. His ground up growth within the industry has given him the practical hands on understanding of all aspects of the construction process. He has grown due to his strong work ethic from his start as an apprentice carpenter, to foreman, to company owner to supervisor, and now to our company’s senior on site project manager and supervisor. A consistent ability to maintain quality, schedule and solutions specific for each of his client’s needs have proven his result-oriented methods which have allowed him to continue to excel within the industry while inspiring and motivating our subcontractors, employees and partners to exceed their project goals.

WESTGATE HOTEL, 304 East 42nd Street, New York, NY

$11 Million - 290 Key Hotel, corridors, full lobby renovation, custom Stella Bar and Starbuck Grab & GO

This multi tower project included the gut renovation of 290 hotel rooms, plus all corridors and common areas inclusive of a new lobby, custom fabricated Stella Artois Bar, Starbucks Grab and Go and a basement level sales center. This project was scheduled and completed while the hotel remained open and occupied. 

 

THE FREEHAND HOTEL, NEW YORK, NY

$40 Million – 400 Key Hotel, 4 Restaurants, 2 interior Bars, roof top Bar and Retail Project.

This 190,000 square foot gut renovation included the complete demolition and reconstruction of 19 floors of guest rooms, amenity and back of house support. This landmarked project included full abatement, removal and replace of all plumbing and mechanical systems, new electrical and low voltage distribution and gas service. The project incorporated the construction of commercial kitchens with 4 restaurant fit-outs inclusive of 3 indoor bars and two exterior roof deck bars all while working around the existing 29 SRO tenants that remained throughout the project without service interruption.

 

280 ST. MARKS AVENUE, BROOKLY, NY

$26 Million – 32 Unit Luxury Condominium Building

This 80,662 square foot out-of-the-ground Brooklyn chic luxury condominium building was designed with meticulous detail.  The poured-in-place superstructure included an underground parking garage and five floors above grade.  Custom lift and slide windows span floor to ceiling with state-of-the-art building systems and amenities.  Most units have built in outdoor space, and a fully landscaped courtyard has been constructed above the grade level podium.  The custom brick façade has been imported from Denmark and Spain. 

 

WAGNER COLLEGE, Staten Island, NY

$5 Million – 362 Room Dorm Façade Restoration, HVAC riser replacement and New Stadium Lighting

Project Manager for the stadium lighting project and  the Harborview 362 Room Dormitory facade restoration and HVAC riser replacement project in which all work was required to be completed during the “summer break” prior to the return of the students.

 

LIDO BEACH HOTEL, Lido Beach, NY

$4 Million - 35 Unit Condominium Project

This Hurricane Sandy reconstruction and restoration of the Lido Beach Hotel landmark building included full Design Build Construction Management services with the condominium board in order to get 35 families custom renovations over a four-month period while meeting the narrow budget available for the project.  This scope of the project included all interior ground floor unit core and shell construction as well as new emergency systems and ground water management infrastructure.

 

141 FIFTH AVENUE, New York, NY

Superintendent for a $67 million, 14-story mixed-use high-end condominium renovation of an existing landmark building.

 

520 WEST 19th STREET New York, NY

Superintendent for a $42 million, 12-story mixed use new high end condominium project.

MARISA FERARRA - Project Manger and Licensed AIA (NY & PA) 
Marisa is a licensed Architect in NY and PA and has 10 years of experience within the construction industry.  Recently she was the driving force behind the completion of the Freehand Hotel which was an SRO occupied dormitory converted to a 400-key hotel.  Her background in architecture allowed for insightful problem solving while maintaining and implementing architectural design intent. With a foot in both camps, she is able to liaise with the design team to bring to life their design with a keen construction sensibility.
She has successfully coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler trades and has the ability to keep activities in motion on this fast-paced project.  As a design professional her skills with CAD and Blue Beam have been essential the company’s ability to continue to work with the A/E team to ensure that the project goals are constantly met.

BRONX CARE CANCER CENTER, Bronx, NY, Project Manager

$3 Million - 10,000 SF interior Fit out.

This 10,000 square foot shell was converted into a state of the are cancer treatment facility.   The project consisted of the full waterproofing and the construction of a full pre-action sprinkler system since it sits above an extremely sensitive Verizon data bank facility.  The installation of new HVAC systems, plumbing, Electrical service upgrades and the tie in of the new Fire Alarm and Pre-Action systems to the existing building systems required extensive complex coordination and scheduling.

IRISH REPERTORY THEATER, New York, NY, Project Architect

$8 Million - 8,000 SF interior and structural renovation, acoustical design, LEED Gold Certification

This 8,000 SF single story theater was converted to a two-story space with twice the seats, plus a new balcony with direct, unobstructed sightlines. Steel reinforcements to the 1913 building make this dramatic opening possible, while structural acrobatics obscure the massive amounts of steel used. A clever re-configuration of the support spaces met all programmatic functions despite less square footage. An acoustical rated ceiling, ceiling pipe grid for suspending stage lights, and a catwalk were designed to meet the precise needs of the theater.

JOYCE SAMOKYSHIN - Chief Financial Office
Joyce has almost forty years of experience in the construction industry.  She has been and continues to be responsible for the corporate financial accounting, project cost reporting, cost controlling, accounts payable, billings, and all aspects of construction project accounting.  Through the years, she worked as Comptroller and CFO for several of NYC’s best mid-size construction management firms.  Joyce has managed and controlled a wide variety of construction projects, including, but not limited to, health care, retail, residential, industrial, hospitality among others.
