Project Size: $4.5 million, 30,000 SF

Completed: August 2001

The Century 21 Home Store, consisting of an 18,000 sf home goods sales floor with 12,000 sf attached receiving,
-
storage and office building, was completed in 5 months. Three existing buildings were demolished to create the sales floor addition to the existing three-story building. The new addition included new foundations, architectural custom structural exterior block walls, and a new 9” thick roof slab. This building was designed and built to support a future addition of a second floor sales area.
-
This project was fast-tracked. Foundation work began prior to the completion of drawings, and the decorative block and steel were pre-ordered in order to maintain the owner’s schedule for grand opening. The entire new sales floor area slab received a “super flat” high end floor finish, acid stained, colored with colloidal dye and coated to a high gloss finish. Over one thousand light fixtures were installed to highlight the sales floor store perimeter.
-
The existing building was renovated for additional storage capacity and office space. New public and employee
-
bathrooms were installed along with a new basement for all of the new building services.
